Why be OK, when it's just as easy to be Better.

When others ask you how are you doing, do you respond with OK, So So, could be better, or even Not so good. Words play a powerful role in your health and mental wellbeing. And as we already know you can talk yourself into being sick. But you can also talk yourself into being healthy. One great example of this is the saying "tell yourself something long enough and you will start to believe it. Once you start believing it your troubles begin. These less than positive daily responses are like signals to your brain to produce exactly what you are saying. In fact one of the ways your brain knows what to do is by listening to your over and over; eventually your brain figures out what is normal and then begins to create that normality unconsciously on a daily basis. You begin to believe Ok is the best you can do.

Surprisingly, to have a fantastic day is just as simple and takes the same amount of energy but has the added benefits of better mental and physical health and
it makes you feel better also. In fact try this short exercise an watch what happens: Say out load, actually shout it 3 times "I am having a fantastic day" and tell me if it doesn't make you smile or laugh.  Go on test it.

Everyone knows people with a positive disposition get fewer colds, are generally healthier, and live longer than people with negative disposition. However, many people have no clue as to what constitutes these two opposing view points. So, here is my explanation: If you don't respond to -How are you- with a response better than -Good- you are not using the benefits of having a positive disposition. Examples of better then good are; Super Good, Fantastic, Super fantastic, Wonderful, Outstanding, I'm sure you get it. Now choose your own call sign, the response you will give to how are you and make it a part of your daily routine.  One final benefit of responding like this is that it keeps the negative people from dumping their monkeys on you, when they realize you won't play the poor me game.

Now go to the comment box and answer the question - How are you doing?
